Troubleshooting

In this document, we'll guide you through troubleshooting Apello on your own! Don't worry, you don't need any technical experience. Just follow our simple instructions

Our vision is to make Apello incredibly user-friendly for everyone. Before adding any new commands or features, we ensure they are accessible for non-technical users. However, some users may still encounter challenges with Discord, roles, and other elements. To help you overcome these issues, Apello includes a straightforward command designed to identify and resolve any bugs that might be impacting the verification process or setup.

/debug

By executing this command, you can identify all the potential root causes that may be causing the bot to fail during the verification or setup process.

You must have the role Apello Manager to run this command Admin Commands

After running the command, you will receive two embedded messages: one troubleshooting all the rules and roles you have in the server, and another one troubleshooting the permissions. Based on our two years of providing technical support, these are the most common reasons for failures.

This indicates that all our settings are in perfect orderโ€”no issues detected! Let's have some fun tweaking the settings a bit ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

As you can observe, Apello has identified three issues: Deleted Role, Role Position, and Denied Permissions, and it is also suggesting solutions for each.

You will also receive a DM if there's a permissions issue that prevents the bot from replying, so we've added a step to respond via DMs as well!
